Rust wipe schedule

from 37,945 wipes over the last 4 weeks

This entry records when Rust servers wipe, taken from the wipe log rather than from owners' claims. It covers the monthly force wipe, a week-by-hour heatmap of wipes across 37,945 recorded servers, the busiest wipe days and hours, and how many servers run weekly, biweekly and monthly. Every figure is dated and refreshed from live data every five minutes.

Questions

What visitors ask most, answered from the archive.

When do Rust servers wipe?

Every public server wipes at force wipe, the first Thursday of each month when the game updates, at 19:00 UK time. Between force wipes, each owner sets a rhythm: weekly, biweekly or monthly are the common ones. The heatmap on this page counts the wipes in our log, so it shows the days and hours servers actually use.

What is the difference between a map wipe and a blueprint wipe?

A map wipe clears the world: bases and loot go, and the landscape starts fresh. A blueprint wipe also clears what you have learned to craft. Most servers map-wipe on their own schedule and hold blueprints until force wipe, or keep them indefinitely. Each server's entry states which it does.

What time do Rust servers wipe?

The owner chooses, usually an evening in the server's home region so players are present for the start. Our heatmap records wipe times in UTC. UK time is UTC in winter and one hour ahead in summer; US Eastern is four or five hours behind UTC depending on the season.
